💡 Tips for Visitors

Entrance fee is ¥480 for the observatory and museum (cash recommended), with an additional ¥100 for the telescope. Visit during spring to autumn for the best scenery, as winter leaves the landscape brown; trails close at 17:30 due to bear activity, and the building closes at 18:00 in summer. The boardwalk trail is free and takes about 45 minutes to complete, perfect for a brief nature break during a self-drive tour.
