Magome Pass

Magome Pass is a historic mountain pass along the ancient Nakasendo Trail connecting the post towns of Magome and Tsumago in the Kiso Valley. 💡 Tips for Visitors

The trail is best hiked from Magome downhill to Tsumago for an easier experience. Bring cash as the mountain pass and nearby villages have limited card payment options. English signage is available along the trail, and luggage forwarding services between the two towns are offered for around 500 yen per bag.
