Kerama National Park encompasses a stunning archipelago of over 30 islands located about 40 kilometers west of Okinawa's main island, featuring some of Japan's most pristine coral reefs and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The park is a world-renowned destination for diving and snorkeling, where visitors can encounter sea turtles, manta rays, and vibrant tropical fish in waters with visibility often exceeding 50 meters. From January to March, the surrounding waters also serve as a breeding ground for humpback whales, making it an exceptional spot for whale watching.

π‘ Tips for Visitors
Ferry services to the main islands (Tokashiki, Zamami, and Aka) depart from Tomari Port in Naha and should be booked in advance during peak season (July-August). While some dive shops have English-speaking staff, it's recommended to book tours online beforehand as walk-in services may have limited English support. Bring cash as many smaller establishments on the islands do not accept credit cards, and ATMs can be scarce outside of the main village areas.
