Entry to the bridge requires a small fee (around 310 yen) payable at the ticket booth, cash only. Visit during cherry blossom season (late March-early April) or autumn foliage (November) for spectacular photo opportunities. The bridge is located about 45 minutes by train from Hiroshima, making it an excellent day trip; limited English signage is available but the main attractions are easy to navigate.
