💡 Tips for Visitors
Deer crackers (shika-senbei) cost 200 yen per pack; take out one cracker at a time and show empty hands when done to avoid being overwhelmed by eager deer. Wear comfortable walking shoes as the park and temple areas require significant walking, and be cautious with loose items as deer may nibble on bags or clothing. The deer are wild animals and some can be aggressive, especially larger bucks, so feed them carefully and maintain respectful distance when not offering treats.
