Strongly recommended to arrive by car or taxi rather than walking, as Route 45 lacks sidewalks in sections and can be dangerous for pedestrians. Visit in late afternoon for the best lighting on the islands, or during autumn (October-November) for spectacular fall colors. The stairs from the parking area to the viewpoint are quite steep, so wear comfortable shoes and allow time for the climb.
