π‘ Tips for Visitors
Take the 15-minute ferry from Kagoshima Port (runs 24/7, around 200 yen) to reach the island. Check the volcanic activity level before visiting and be prepared for ash fall by carrying an umbrella or mask. English signage is limited, so download offline maps; the Yunohira Observatory offers the best views and has a visitor center with some English information.
