Shiroyone Senmaida is a breathtaking cascade of over 1,000 tiny rice paddies descending dramatically toward the Sea of Japan along the Noto Peninsula. These UNESCO-recognized terraces have been cultivated for centuries and create a stunning patchwork landscape that changes with the seasons, from water-mirror reflections in spring to golden harvests in autumn. During winter evenings, the terraces are illuminated with thousands of LED lights, transforming the hillside into a magical display known as 'Akari no Nagisa.'
