๐Ÿ’ก Tips for Visitors

Limited English signage is available, so download a translation app or pick up an English map at Yatsushiro Station's tourist information center. The city is best reached by JR train from Kumamoto (30 minutes), and most local shops and restaurants are cash-only, so withdraw yen beforehand. Visit in October for the spectacular fireworks festival, or in spring for beautiful cherry blossoms at Kinchakuda Park.
