English pamphlets and audio guides are available at the entrance. The castle grounds are particularly stunning during cherry blossom season in early April and can be combined with a moat boat tour for a complete experience. Wear comfortable shoes as the wooden stairs inside are steep and narrow, typical of original Japanese castle architecture.
